I think it's funny that I can't stand canned or frozen vegetables (except for corn)...but I LOVE frozen fruit. I love the way the freezer changes the flavor. Right now I'm eating frozen peaches. So good!

I don't mind canned or frozen veggies, but I am liking the frozen fruit too. You can keep it so much longer and it is great to throw in the blender with some milk and protein powder for a smoothie. Convienient and yummy!! (Bonus, my kids love it too.)

What brand do you buy or do you freeze the fruit yourself? This sounds like a great warm summer night treat :)

Half of the fruit comes from my dad's garden (blackberries, raspberries, the like) and half comes from Meijer. I don't know where you're from but it's a supermarket chain in the midwest. They pride themselves on their produce selection...even their frozen produce is outstanding (seriously though, their produce is always flavorful, bountiful, fresh and they try to use local farmers as much as possible). The organic frozen peaches I had the other day were probably the best frozen peaches I've ever had.

Waaah! We don't have that here in New Jersey. I also don't have a dad who is an outdoors-man - my dad is a sit home and watch TV kinda guy! I am going to look at my local Stop and Shop for some frozen organic no sugar added fruits and go from there. I've done mangos before, they were OK - I think I will try another fruit like peaches or mixed berries. Tell your dad to come start a garden here in NJ for me :P

I grew up in a very rural area...you basically have no choice but to become a sportsman! He took up gardening after my brother and I left the nest, though, and he enjoys every minute of it. His garden boasts over 20 types of produce and has an elaborate electric fence around it all (my parents live on several acres. Any and all type of wildlife will try to eat his crops). I have some really good frozen corn and green beans from his garden as well! Mmmm!
