Hello SUNDAY! Saturday was a busy day for the family. It started with early morning cries (6AM) from the littles (9 months and 2 yr 9 mos), then a round of 5-stand shooting with my older daughter (13 yrs) then some packing and traveling to drop off trailers before the snow accumulates on the roads. I can't remember if I've kept it in that we're in the process of buying a bigger house. It's 50 minutes drive away from where I live now... basically out in the country. I'm mostly excited about the move. AND mostly dreading the move and the sales process of our current house. Floating 2 mortgages is not going to be fun either.

Back to the point... we were on the road & ended up eating an Italian house that had nothing remotely healthy on their menu. I asked for suggestions on something lighter - her suggestion was to ask for less cream sauce. (I am exaggerating of course - they had marinara options, but I didn't want tomato sauce) So... I had a garlic lemon cream sauce with seafood and linguini. No way that is on the low calorie meal plan. LOL. I didn't eat but 1/3 of my plate, shunned the garlic bread and stayed away from the cheese and croutons on the side salad. I loved it.

Sunday morning started at 600 am again with the littles wanting more attention. One baby bottle and an episode of Jake and the Neverland Pirates and I was on the treadmill by 630 (basically carb loaded from dinner the night before). I managed to push through 2.5 miles in 34 minutes. My time is gradually improving. I'm not really trying to improve my pace, except for the fact that I get impatient and that I tell myself that I can quit when I hit my mile marker. The faster I get there, the faster I can start walking. Is that a bad mantra? This week I'm going to keep at 2.5 mile jogs, and then push through to 3 miles on Saturday. That's my goal. I've written it down. Let's see if I can stick to it. After that... more time? more distance? I'm not sure.

I'm struggling with the time that it takes to get through the distance goals. I've been good at carving 40 minutes for workout and 20 minutes for stretch, cool down and cleanup. Adding more workout time is going to be hard. The kids just don't nap that long... Husband is pretty good at supporting me on the weekends, but his home time is not routine with his job. I think that after the move, it might be worth joining a gym with daycare OR finding a routine babysitter. Is that just crazy? Hiring a babysitter so I can work out???? LOL A year ago, I would have never said that!
