Looks like I will have to put my diet plans on hold again. I am going to have surgery on my back once again and with all the steriods and pain killers I will be on, it will be really difficult to keep on any diet plan. Hopefully this surgery will make the difference of getting back to life again.

Oh my gosh, when did you find out? Is this the one they wanted to hold off doing for years? When will you have it and is the same recovery time as last time?

I found out on Tuesday. This is the one that they hoped would wait for a while, but it came faster than expected. I am waiting to get my MRI, then I will review with my doctor. He has two options for me. The first is to have the same procedure, which has a 1-2 month recovery time and all they do is remove the rest of the disc. Second option is to remove all of the disc and fuse both of the missing discs with a silicone replacement. However, they do not looking that for somebody at my age, because more than likely I will have to have it redone in 10-15 years. It also is a more riskier surgery. My body could reject the silicone replacements and I could have to undergo several surgeries. The recovery time is also anywhere from 2-4 months depending on how my body handles it.
