Well I'm back from my vacation and other than the rain that produced two rain shortened races-which is a bummer but nothing you can do about the rain-we had a really great time. I didn't do so well with the eating thing while I was gone, but we did alot of walking so that was a good thing. I gained a little but not to much so I was happy with that. But I'll be darned if I can seem to get back on track since we've been back. I've been super busy but I can't really use that as an excuse, I'm just being lazy about what I am putting in my mouth and not exercising at all. I was so diligent before we left and now its like I've given up. I don't know how to get my mind set right, and I know 99% of it is in my head. Today and tomorrow is our little towns Dairy Days celebration, carnival in town, two parades tomorrow and lots to do for the kids so we will be doing that the next couple of days. Then we leave for vacation with my whole family (my mom and dad, my two brothers, and my sister, and their families) 10 adults and 10 kids staying in a 5 bedroom house at a resort in Minnesota to fishing for a week. Always a great time but harder to eat right and not have a cocktail or two. If I can get through that then maybe I can get myself back on track.

Sorry I haven't been a very good buddy over the last month, I'm going to try alot harder, because you all help me to get back on track and stay on track, and I need all the help I can get right now.

If you are staying in a house then you do have some control over what you eat. There is a kitchen and unless you eat out a lot you can make low cal things for yourself. However, having said that, when I went on a vacation with 6 girlfriends, we rented a private home and that had a kitchen, we ate out all the time but when I was there I snacked too much, I was not hungry, it was goodies I was not used to being around, so it is very hard to stay on track. I understand that completely. Just do the best you can and that is all you can do. Have a fun time.
