Day 6 of Atkins in preparation of Cruise (and New Year's Resolution). It's very deceiving to have lost 5 pounds in 6 days, but still it's very motivating! Clothes fit better and I feel sexier; however, I'm exhausted, my breath is horrible, and I know this water weight will reappear after just one weekend of regular eating. My plan is to splurge on the cruise, then come back home and restart a low-carb diet but include whole grain carbs such as English muffins, oatmeal and light bread. I may look into protein shakes too, mixed with berries and coconut milk. And building lean muscle to burn more calories while resting. My birthday is this Saturday, I'll be 39.
