What's everyone think about this Dukan diet? Sounds like adkins a bit to me. I feel light headed if I don't have a carb in the morning. Can't be light headed and take care of two kids for sure. But it looks like people are losing weight fast. Might do a bit more investigating. Try and see if I can find the book at the library first to see what the diet really is. Just wanted some input.

I went to the website for Dukan diet (http://www.dukandiet.com/) and it sounds a lot like the South Beach in which you have low fat, healthy proteins and mostly vegie/some fruit carbs. The difference seems that Dukan wants you to buy their Oat Bran for life. I've tried Adkins before and it was fast initial weight loss once and the other time a big failure. I don't know if you've tried a super-low carbohydrate diet before, but there can be side affects to it. I got dizzy and uncoordinated during my second attempt, which is when I aborted it after several days of such. This is talked about in the Adkin's book and it claims it will pass, but after several days like this; I decided it wasn't worth it. So, I'm currently going old school and just cutting my calories and exercising when I can. I have an iPad which I use fatsecret to track my calories after each meal. This enables me to judge about what I should be eating on my next meal. I wish you the best of luck on your weight loss!
