Today, day 4 of the 42 day challenge where I am making permanent changes in my diet and lifestyle, and achieving new levels of personal power and self-control.

This is my new destination, changed from losing 30 pounds and achieving a full shamanic healing retreat in Sedona in August 2011.

Losing 30 pounds is not that daunting to me. I've done it before, and I know what it requires... cutting way down on what I'm eating and increasing my exercise level accordingly. What is daunting is keeping it off. What is daunting is taking responsibility for a permanent lifestyle change, that doesn't include emotional eating sometime in the future and gaining the weight back, and does include continuing to lose another 30 pounds after the first thirty, which is my true goal.

Juli, my new teacher, along with my teacher of 15 years, Jimmy Hyman, continue to show me the way.
