Over 2800 calories consumed today due to a golf match against Carnoustie golf club. bacon roll before, and scampi and chips after . We got humped... but who cares, had a great day out golfing at Carnoustie. Hopefully the golf will have burned off most of the excess calories.

I never played Carnoustie⛳️ or any of the Scottish championship courses I bet it was good? Scampi I would thought it would be something like steak 🥩 and chips 🍟

It was the Burnside course we played yesterday.(The second of the three courses at Carnoustie, but still a great course.) This was the food provided by the Carnoustie golf club, you could do fine dining at the 'Rookery', which is the restaurant in the visitors centre. We have a club competition coming up which is played on the championship course; £15 including our meal. A wee bit better than the £270 per player which was what they were charging the last time I looked. Fantastic course if you can afford it.

Nice part of the world cycled through there (sort of) along the coastal route a few years back

Some beautiful beaches up this coast line, not to mention a string of great golf courses.

A blowout is fine if you do the exercise to make up for it, or be careful for a few days after.
