What's a way to keep motivated? My step daughter is a manager at Old Navy. She called to tell us of a 40% sale on all items. I went down to buy new shorts. I was a 38 I'm now a loose 36. I couldn't be happier! This will help me stay "in the groove". lol

Motivation is different for everyone. One way is to write down all the reasons why you want to lose weight and keep it where you can see it. Break down your weight loss in to achievable goals, and reward yourself (like every 5 or 10lbs with a non food reward). Take different exercise classes. Try new recipes. Get some fun music to workout to. Get some fitness magazines. Put the scale in front of the fridge, lol! Your weight history looks amazing!!!

Agreed, Suzi161 -- I think true, lasting motivation must come from within which makes it a very personal/individual thing, but you offer some great suggestions! If you're a 'competitive' person by nature, set up a competition to stay motivated. I'm both competitive and somewhat 'prideful' -- I recently saw a video on Facebook about a 77-year old female bodybuilder from Baltimore in MUCH better shape than me, and I'm 45 (she looks AMAZING -- 30 years younger than her actual age) -- that video inspired and motivated me!!

I hang up clothes that are still too tight for me in an obvious spot in my closet - them I try them on periodically to see how close I am to wearing them. I am in jeans now that I could not get in about three month ago!

Awesome HCB! I wish I had the presence of mind to have done that a number of years ago!
