This is my homemade electrolyte mix. I was hesitant to use Koolaid, but I'm sure it is similar to many other artificial flavored mixes on the market. I add liquid Stevia when I add water. Liquid Stevia does not spike my blood sugar like powdered Stevia.

Why no sodium? Did I miss that? I think the packets have a filler to bulk them up. I use Light Salt In the blue container. Half sodium/potassium. Then I go look at LMT electrolyte drink mix and measure out the same porportions of sodium, magnesium and potassium. You could also use any flavor of that squeezy water flavor stuff. 😋 i got so sick of electrolyte drinks, I now chug a shot of water with my light salt a few times a day followed by a glass of water.

I get plenty of salt in my diet. I use as much as I want on my food, as I have low blood pressure. When I went low carb, I had a lot of tingling in my diabetic feet. Taking the potassium citrate would stop the tingling in 10-15 minutes. The bottle label says it's for nerve health. Last summer, I started putting it in weak kool-aid. Now, I'm adding magnesium citrate to see if it helps muscle twinges. I only drink 12 oz per day. My blood panels are wnl.

If I didn't have diabetic neuropathy, I probably wouldn't be drinking this. When I went low carb in 2019, the tingling started profusely. That's regrowth of damaged nerves. Now, I don't have the daily profuse tingling. On the other hand, if I cheat and eat a lot of carbs, I'll get the same tingling, and that's the nerves dying.

When I said I only drink 12 oz per day, I was referring to the electrolyte drink. It's important not to overdo the citrates.

It is good to know what you need, and research what ingredients specifically help you besides the well-known part that helps a lot of people (electrolytes).
