I feel that way sometimes, then I just stop and think of how my life has improved over the years and how blessed I am in my life. Stop and look around and see what you have and what you have done and be proud of what you have accomplished. Think of all the people that love you and care about you and then smile, you are blessed.

I have always fought off depression with exercise.

get outside in some sunlight and get some exercise in to get some endorphins going

Also if you don’t have one already, a trained licensed therapist who is specifically trained in dissociation. Sunlight and exercise is wonderful, but sometimes extra support is needed too ✨

Thank you everyone for the advice ! I did get out for a hike today and it helped a bit ! I also luckily have a therapist through my job. It's good to just know I'm not alone in feeling this way. Thanks again all 🙏🙏❤️

You aren’t alone; I didn’t go to a therapist when I was going through stuff a few years ago and in 1989 and in 2002; I had family friends and family that pulled me out of the dissociative phase I was in. Just take it one minute at a time and one day at a time; it takes time; just be patient with yourself and those who are helping you.

It can really hard to connect this day and age… when I get really off track I try to recenter by writing down 1) all the accomplishments I made that day (even small stuff like putting dishes in the dish washer, brushing teeth), 2) Thoughts/reflection: can be just a few words (today sucked) or more 3) 3 things I’m grateful for. 4) goals for tomorrow or the week. The key is to be non-judgmental. Appreciate yourself for the things you did accomplish . Recognize the things in your life that are going well. It can be a crappy day where you feel disconnected but are still a little productive and thankful for family and I feel like that makes a huge difference. Taking the good with the bad and appreciating what you bring to the world - no matter how big or small.

I have used a life coach. Anxiety is a fear of the future and this can be talked through and managed.

Love what Rob and Shelle9 said...I lost my brother in May...didn't even realize I was depressed and disconnected until I went to catch up my stats charts for my Doctors....and realized it had been 7 weeks since I'd recorded any info. I'd started having angina attacks and sleeping all day as I wasn't resting at night. I'm a senior, live alone so have no one to check on me and see what I'm up to. Prayers for you in your journey.

When filled with self loathing....try very hard to remember all the good things you have also done in your life. I started a list after a while and memories pop up now and again that are worthy of that list. We can also fill our minds with good just as easy as bad. Reach out anytime. Breathe and ask your self what little thing can I get do in a couple of minutes, get up and do it. Restart as many times as you need too. It's your life.

I can tell You what worked for me and that was a relationship with God , prayer , meditation and reading scripture. Excercise and forcing myself to go on walks or do something outdoors always helps if I’m feeling down. I have definitely been there and I promise you that you can overcome these feelings.
