YES LET'S ALL EAT MORE BUTTER TO STAY HEALTHY.

No joke...New Analysis: Avoiding Butter No Better for Health

Avoiding butter and replacing it with vegetable oils may not have any health benefits. Another new BMJ study finds that one of the old trials (The Minnesota Coronary Trial) used to support the war on fat was a total failure – that was later hidden. (shame on them) Google The Minnesota Coronary Trial if you want to read the report.

Not only did people who replaced saturated fats with vegetable oils not improve their health or longevity. But in fact people who lowered their cholesterol more by eating vegetable oils died earlier!

It’s high time to discard the obsolete fear of natural saturated fat, like real butter.

My hubby was cooking with butter the other day so I looked at the package to see how much saturated fat was in it. Much to my surprise, there were 7 grams of saturated fat per tablespoon and NO trans fat. This was Kirkland brand from Costco. I love butter on everything, but moderation in everything!

I love Kerrygold Grassfed Butter - very healthy. Find it at Whole Foods or Trader Joe's

I use kerrygold too. It's offered at Winco here (and WF and TJ's).

HCB, I just bought that from Trader Joe's, could you elaborate on what you believe about it. I know they recommend it for Bulletproof coffee.

You make me wish I wasn't allergic to dairy, especially after I watched that YouTube video called "Butter Makes Your Pants Fall Off"! Fortunately, coconut oil is completely non-allergenic, and so very, very versatile.

PokeyJack if you can't eat butter...you will still be blessed as long as you can have coconut oil....butter is a item that is OK for most on LCHF diet to consume cause it is extremely low carbs...so coconut oil, olive oil, lard, bacon grease are still the good fats thats on the menu. also that will make your pants fall off too. To never be hungry on this LCHF type of diet you need to watch the pie chart at the bottom of you food log...The ratios you will shoot for are 75%fat-20%protien-5%carbs. Fresh uncured bacon is what i like to eat..it is only meat and fat.
