I have no willpower! And it doesn't help when my family stops somewhere to get everyone breakfast and brings me an ultimate meat burrito from Sonic, knowing full well I am on a diet and not supposed to have that stuff. So of course, me with no willpower ate it! Now I am so angry with myself. I should have just said no thanks. But she doesn't make much money and has 2 children so it is hard to tell my daughter I can not eat the food she just bought. UGH! But on the flip side I did do 45 minutes of Qi Jong today. That is great for me. The longest I have been able to do was 35 minutes in the past.

Go for an extra walk around the block, get your mind back on track and maybe ask family to help you out by picking up healthier choices (if they want to be nice and pick you up something) :) you got it, Barbara!!

Hooray! 45 minutes is great. We all have those weak moments, dust off and back on the saddle. Good luck

What is Qi Gong? I just started a weight loss diet on Monday, which happened to be my birthday. My husband kept telling me he wanted to take me out for a Buffet Chinese Dinner. When I said no, I set it in my mind to start taking better care of myself and I had set the date for my birthday. He replied, you can start tomorrow. It then dawned on me, that is exactly how I got myself into this excess weight. There is always a reason not to start eating healthy, and always a reasons to eat. Tomorrow never comes! Don't beat yourself up to bad. I've been there numerous time. This time not, and it feels so much better, than any food tastes. I woke up with a 3 lbs weight loss, by not taking my husband up on it. I also have some chocolate covered strawberries that were given to me, on my birthday. I will be giving them to my 90 year old father in law and his female friend. They will get a kick out of them, and they look so pretty, they will feel special and this will make me feel good :) You'll get there, don't worry. You accomplished 45 minutes of Qi Gong, and that is to be commended. I'm listed as Tohardtolose on this site.

You are a very kind person. I understand eating something to avoid hurting someones feelings. Focus on your win today and forgive yourself for eating the burrito. Know that it is not one decision that will make you or break you, as long as the majority of your choices are positive you are on the right track. Stay positive and know you are in control of you. :)

Qi Jong is a form of Tai Chi. I found one that is aimed at people that are in a wheelchair or have another ailment that keeps them from standing.

You can eat that burrito! Just open it and take out the tater-tots, toss the tortilla and everything else in it is a go!

Sounds like sabotage to me. Family can be serious food pushers. Got to say, buy it again and I am throwing it in the trash. Seen it in my own family. If we get thin, they feel threatened. Become observant. Helps to understand what is going on. Try for some clinical distance. Overeating and obesity typically family disease process. Starts early in childhood for most of us.

Great book out there by Judy Hollis called Fat is a Family Affair. I highly recommend it. Used in lots of food addiction treatment settings. Again..gain insight. We are all programmed wrong by people who were programmed wrong..our task as addicts is to move beyond that and accept responsibility for what we put in our mouths.

While I believe it is true you cannot outrun a bad diet you can ask for help your Alternatives if someone is going to buy something for you to eat even if you're going fast food lose the bridge turn down the potatoes that kind of thing no need being rude but no needing something you really aren't interested in eating
