This week I have sucked at dieting! I just am not motivated right now and don't really care...AGAIN! I am pretty much ready to throw in the towel and say the heck with dieting! I lose, I gain, I lose, I gain....nothing going the way I want it too! I am just going to go with the flow and see what happens. We leave for Vegas on Friday so I am just going to watch my portion sizes and try to get in as much exercise as I can. I refuse to get mad at myself for not eating right...I am doing great and I need to concentrate on that for my sanity! If I don't I might blow a gasket! The holidays are very hard when it comes to dieting...food, parties, food, being busy....not a god combination, but I know that I can do this and I know that when the time is right it will happen for me!

I think you (we) are too hard yourself. Holiday time you should allow a little bit of the forbidden. Just don't go all out and throw what you've worked hard for out of the window for a few days worth of fun. You know? I think that if we restrict and prevent ourselves just a little bit of the things that we REALLY enjoy....then eventually, like a volcano, you'll erupt and will go overboard. So.....just exercise self control...and have fun.....just a 'predetermined amount' of it. =)

I find it really interesting how supportive you are to others on this board and how harsh you are on yourself. I read your journal first, then read what you wrote to others. Try to remember to treat yourself at least as good as you treat others on this diet! Enjoy your trip, remember how beautiful you are, inside and out

Don't give up. Do what is right for you. If you eat something that you enjoy, it is ok, just try to make up for it the next couple of days. It isn't the end of the world, just a little setback. It happens to the best of us. Have fun in Vegas.

I think you should just try your best but don't beat yourself up about it. Enjoy your trip and your fun times during this season and when you come back we'll all be here. Do a few detox days after the holiday season and you'll be ready to go. Have a great time!!

You are doing so well and are very close to your goal weight. You are not the only one who is concerned about the holidays. Stick with it until you reach your goal. I also want to thank you for all the positive support you have given me. You have inspired me to want to get to my goal.
