gasperj's Journal, 26 Feb 10

I went to Zumba class last night and my knee still hurts but I'm taking it easy and pushing through it. I also am borrowing a book from a friend about the South Beach principles. What are people's thuoghts on this? I am hoping the book will give me some insight behind why the body reacts to certain things and not others. I'm hoping to dive into that book this weekend.

The book definately made me more aware of why some foods make me hungry and some foods keep me full. However, I couldn't stick to the South Beach plan long-term because I enjoy eating simple carbs on a regular basis. But it really is a healthy plan! After "phase one" anyway. I suggest to anyone thinking about trying SBD to skip over phase one.

It's another diet book with another point of view. Many of the principles are good. But you use your common sense and use what you like and what you think will apply to you to help you lose weight. Good luck!
