How important is calorie counting when banting? I am rather counting macros and ignoring calories. Is that incorrect?

Daniela I don't think there is a correct answer t your question. Every one is different and what might work for one might not work for another. I have found that counting calories has helped me lose 41kgs. I have never really done the banting diet but did use the principle of banting in my eating but never bought all the fancy foods it requires.
I would suggest count macros and see how it goes, if it is not working then change over to calorie counting.
Weight loss is trial and error, you try things until you find the right one for you.
