I went for a chinese buffet type meal last night with my boyfriend and his family. There were about 12 of us and it was organised by his nephew who wanted to have a family get together before he goes to Afghanistan in 2 weeks.

I stuck to the atkins as far as possible; I wasn't even tempted by any rice, noodles or anything but i've just counted up carbs and it's not good. I tried to just pick out the meat and not the sauce as best as I could. I hope I dont see negative results on the scale.

If I am going to a restaurant and I can't count on getting low carb foods, I eat before I go or bring some food w/me that I know is low carb.
