Hi Melkiah, ? for ya, I've never put any restrictions on my protein intake.I'd do about 120grms a day. I got my yearly blood work results back from the VA and my weak kidneys went from 37% down to 26% big dive scared the hell out me.Now they said not to do more than 80grms a day.So will that hurt my goal for creating heavier muscle gain. kind of dumb founded here.

That’s simply untrue, yes.. unspent unused protein will be converted to other substances for the body, burn it won’t be wasted trough the kidneys.. even so, a protein gram isn’t worth four calories and is one of the most satisfying for the feeling of hunger.
100g of fat = 900 calories
200g of protein = 800 calories.
In summary, twice as filling and less than half the calories.

Your Kidneys are under heavy load from losing weight. Protein intake doesn’t have nearly the impact as passing ketones.

My ? is if doing 80grms or less protein a day will that effect my muscle growth?

No, the body works in mysterious ways to make up for any deficit. 80g protein is plenty. :)
