tahoebrun's Journal, 15 Feb 18

Hello world - here is some random stuff that goes through my head at times. I think it is interesting that since I have been on this journey and lost some weight a good deal of my friends can't accept that I was indeed overweight. The comments range from - "oh you were just a big guy", "but you're tall" to "you looked alright to me". Even after I tell them that I had a 40 inch waist, I was the heaviest I had ever been in my life, I would be out of breath tying my shoes. according to every medical source I was out of limits. I hated feeling full and bloated after every huge meal.

I wonder if some of it is the fact that if I was overweight; then they have to come to grips with their own health and body size. Rather than deal with that fact they comment like I was fine the way I was before.

I am now the size I am suppose to be - I feel great - I have tons of energy. I really don't miss the refined sugar or the junk food - I love all the healthy food I eat. I hope that the choices I have made to get better can serve as an example of what might work for others. I am not going back and I am going to keep getting better. Have a great day everyone.

Yes, I think sometimes our friends don't want us to feel badly about being out of shape because they also don't want us to think that they were judging us.
