Happy Sunday y'all. Troll scale says 310.8, so effectively back from the feast I indulged in this past Friday. On a whim this morning I decided to give my leather a try on and whattyaknow... I can now zip up BOTH my jacket and my vest (which is cut slimmer)! They are both still to tight to wear comfortably but I have not been able to even get close to zipping either for a LOOOONG time so I'm calling it a [bleeping] win! I nice way to start off the day to say the least

LSG417 inspired me with her shrimp dish (inspired meaning gave me a huge craving for some shrimp) so going to be doing something with shrimp today. Thinking sauteed with garlic and some cajun type spices over a salad of spinach, avocado, and mung bean sprouts... maybe with some bacon tossed in because everything is better with bacon. :P

So off to Sprouts I go. Its a local, less pretentious, Trader Joe's type of place. A good place to shop as well and infinitely amusing to observe the reactions of their 'normal' clientele to a long haired, inked up, 300+lb biker looking guy wandering the veggie and fresh herb section muttering about textures, color and flavor profiles. :D

Hope the sun is out shinning where you are at and even if its not, I hope you have a good day. Make the good decisions you need to in order to stick to your plan and keep your eyes open to the beauty in the world. If you can't seem to find it, look for ways to create it!

I love when something fits again!! Glad I gave you a craving for shrimp! Your dish sounds yummy too! We have shrimp at least once a week, sometimes twice. Hubby isn't big on fish (tho I and the boys are), so shrimp is my alternative. It's great in hot or cold dishes. You got me craving a dish with bacon in it, lol.

LOL I love your comment about Sprouts! LOL 😂 I feel that way about our Natural Grocers when I go in there dressed in my normal gear and walker. The help gives me this look like, ‘you’re already one foot in the grave, what are YOU doing here?’ People and their preconceptions are funny, huh? LOL Glad you can eat shrimp. Ever since right after the Gulf oil spill I haven’t been able to touch them. I wasn’t a HUGE fan, but I had a lovely plate of them prepared by a friend in this tremendous sauce that I ate about 6 of and all we could taste was petroleum. We threw up for about 4 hours. LOL can’t touch ‘em now. Just won’t do it. LOL More for you guys! LOL 🙋🏻

That is so cool you can fit in your leathers again. That would mean more to me than a number on the scale. I was able to get these yoga pants on today wo feeling i was stuffing 10 pounds of s##t into a 5 lb bag. haha. Keep up the good work. what is your next mini goal?

Thank you all very very much! @WriterandPainter... There is always hope, now put that energy in to action and make it reality! @ny_shelly... HAH Show those yoga pants who's the boss! Great job! With it warming up fast around here, I guess my next mini goal (aside from cracking the 300 mark) is to be able to wear my leather vest comfortably when I ride. At that point I'll feel as if I'm all the way back to the point where I let things go to [bleep] and be ready for the push to the ultimate goal of 200ish.

I got back into my leather jacket ladt year and was SO happy! 😆Those things are frippen spendy to replace! My vest finally fits but I don’t like the way it looks on this “old lady” 👵🏻 LOL it needs to be on someone actually ON a bike 🏍 or on the back of one! LOL And I gave my leather chaps to my daughter when she started riding. She blew out the zipper on one leg when she went down. Caused a nice rooster tail of sparks I guess and got her a new helmet as well as some road rash on her jacket. 😬 But they did their job! Mom was SO happy! Now I’ve almost gotten skinny enough to be a passenger on her bike! LOL 😆 I’m too blind to learn to ride one of my own, which was my goal present if I got to 175. So we take what we get! It’s cool that you can get back into them! 🙋🏻
