I am 52 yrs old and have struggled with my weight for forever. I have 1 sister who moved here in July to help me after my husband died. He fought some severe health challenges and passed away at 47 yrs old in July of 2006. If it wasn't for my sister and her support I would never have attempted to do this. She is a blessing. We are in this together. I have one son who is 20 yrs old and a sophmore in college. He is a great blessing to me. I don't want my health to take me away from him. My daughter also passed away in 2000. I had a gastric bypass in 1997. I lost over 100 lbs., but I weighed over 400,and still have a way to go. My daughter had the same surgery in 2000 and died because of complications, she was only 24. She wanted to do it because of my weight loss. I was not in favor of her decision to do it. I will always feel responsible for her death. I need to complete this journey to honor her. I am a christian and I know all things are possible with Jesus.
