I am 36 year old who enjoys being outside and is very active. My husband also enjoys the outdoors and is a tall lean male who has never had to worry about anything he put in his mouth. Even with my enthusiasm for the outdoors and sports I have always battled with my weight. In my 20's I lost over 20 pounds with WW and felt great. Then I got busy with my career, had my first child, etc and packed on the pounds again. Five years later after the birth of my twins I lost all my baby weight plus some with the combined efforts of exercise, South Beach and taking care of three children. Now three years later I have gained 15 pounds back and I am determined not to buy any new clothes in a size larger than what is in my closet. The problem now is that for the past year I have been battling with plantar fasciitis. Even after 6 months of PT, 8 weeks in a cast, rest and I had a PRP injections on August 29th. After the injection I will be in a boot for 4 weeks then on limited activity.
My goal now is to work on my eating habits, find some activities that will get me back in shape and stay motivated. It is hard to stay motivated when you are limited to the amount of activity you can perform especially when you are someone who is very active and enjoys exercise. It saddens me when I watch my children out playing ball and I can not be out there with them or when it is a beautiful day out and we can not all go for a hike. So I hope this site and my new determination will help me get back out there.
