i've been eating somewhat smarter lately. dark chocolate has become a daily element, but i feel it's the best snack for me - it satisfies my sweet tooth, has antioxidants, and increases acumen. so i'm comfortable with it for now.
i'm wondering though if i'm eating too much fat in my diet. i think protein needs to take a bigger slice of the pie chart. i'm aware of the food pyramid, but i'm not about to follow that. if anyone has suggestions as far as balancing carbs, fats, and proteins, let me know.

i'm feeling a little hopeless today. i have body image issues that have plagued me since i can remember. i can't imagine anyone being physically attracted to me as i am now. i know i'm here, working to lose weight to improve that image... but i know i'm a good person and that i want to pursure a greater career. so shouldn't i be accepted for as i am now?
so anyhow. i kept under my calorie count yesterday. i'm at 62% before dinner, which i plan to keep small. maybe i'll have ONE beer. probably not though, tea is much better.

7 lbs. a week is an overstatement. technically, 362 is my starting point. i was going to go to pilates today, but i am still in pain from going to the gym yesterday. overexertion isn't going to help me anymore than overeating. so i had a breakfast of canadian bacon, two pieces of french toast with banana and nutella, and one scrambled egg white. the french toast was a guilty pleasure but there was barely any nutella on them. that said, i'm aware of what i ate and am mindful that i'll need to work that off. lunch approaches, so i'll be sure to squeeze a salad in there.
yoga tomorrow. possibly a walk tonight. bye bye fat cells, i hope i never see your fugly faces again.
