My little cold from Tuesday turned into a big one yesterday. Tuesday night I went to bed at 8, woke up yesterday at 6:30 for work and knew there was no way I would make it through the day. I called out of work and went back to bed and didn’t wake up until 11:30 later that morning. I spent most of the day laying around and then was back in bed by 9 pm. Woke up this morning and feel much better, though not quite myself yet. It’s amazing how much sleep your body wants when sick. Luckily that seems that was all my body really needed was a lot of rest, and should be good from here on out.
Tonight is a Halloween parade that I’m supposed to go to, we’ll see if I feel up to it but I’m going to try because my nephew will be really disappointed if I don’t. Then tomorrow I’m going trick or treating with him and my sister, and then Saturday a Halloween party with friends. I’m glad that since I got sick at least it was early enough in the week that hopefully I shouldn’t miss out on any of the fun Halloween activities.

I’m definitely sick now… I was hoping that a good night’s rest would make me good as new but I feel terrible today. I dragged myself to work but I’m beginning to wish I would have just stayed in bed. It’s a pretty slow day at work so I could have gotten away with it but I hate missing work and having to catch up the next day. Hopefully just a cold and taking medicine and rest tonight will make me feel better. Not much of an appetite today so far.

Bad choices this weekend, but managed to balance out all my calories with enough activity that I should have broken even, so only up 0.6 pounds today probably because of sodium. Back on track today with eating. Woke up today feeling a little tired but fine, but now that it’s afternoon I feel like I’m coming down with a cold. Sniffly, a little achy, and tired. So many people have been sick lately at work, and out sick today, I feel like it finally must have caught up with me. Mondays are normally a rest day for me anyway, so I’m going to try to get a healthy dinner and then rest for the evening and get a good night’s sleep and hopefully this won’t progress any more.
