Pic I snapped on national running day, which is every day for me. I've come a long way from the 143lb "Mom" bod I had slumped into in December. I got carded last night. My friend: "That's because you have the body of an 18 year old." We went to see Ocean's 8, which wasn't very good but it was a fun night out regardless. I went up .2 lbs but I am not worried about it at all. The Mr. is going out with the guys tonight and I am planning on an intense workout before watching the game and looking forward to a long-ish run tomorrow. Pool party on the horizon next week.

Our office is having an ice cream social right now for the Warriors. Although I am happily sporting my Warrior’s gear (you don’t have to tell me twice to have a casual day), I am not partaking in the ice cream. Kind of bummed about it, that is one of my biggest loves. I’m going to go brew a cup of coffee instead. The Mr. made it through 23 minutes of my workout with me. The instructor gave us a 1 minute water break and exclaimed, “We are half way through!” I saw the defeat on my husband’s face. Him: “This is only half way?!?” He then proceeded to go into the kitchen and started working on fixing the faucet that had come off into his hand when he was using it earlier. I think the workout may be too intense for him but I’m not sure exactly what to do. I get incredibly bored with the lower intensity workouts and don’t feel like I’m getting much out of them. I guess I’m going to have to recommend that we split up and do our workouts separately. At least until he sheds some of the weight and gets into better shape and can handle the tougher ones. That also makes me sad. So, I guess this is kind of a saddish post for me today. It’s ok though, we are half way through! (the week), haha. I just wish I could go tinker on something and not finish the rest of the work week. :P

80 carbs today already and I’m hungry. It’s not even 1pm. We have happy cows here in Cali and our local creamery makes the best plain Greek yogurt. It has been my staple and I give it a lot of credit for my success. I cut out a ton of sugar and carbs by switching over to plain from the flavored yogurts. Here’s the problem that I am facing today. That brand is the only one I like. I can’t stand Chobani plan yogurt or any of the others I have tried. They actually give me the gag reflex. My store has been out of it for about a week now. I couldn’t come up with a good/easy replacement for it, it saved me pretty much every day around 9:30-10am. So, I have been trying plain oatmeal with a couple of berries in it. There is just so many carbs in oatmeal. I will get this figured out somehow.

I showed the Mr. my countdown to vacation screen and it had 1 month to go on it. His eyes got big and he said, “I have a month to lose 40lbs?” I advised him that would be a terrible idea. I recommended he start logging, if he is really serious about wanting to get some of the weight off. He looked at me like I was an insane person when I did a workout at 9pm after getting home from the movies last night. I guess I’m still feeling guilty about the pizza. I also knew we have to take back some running shoes we bought him today after work, they were bothering his feet after a few trips out, so I’m not sure how much time I will have to get in a workout today. I noticed he was scanning his food this morning, so that’s a great sign. By the way, if you are a Star Wars fan, Solo is a good one! I hope you all are having a great week.
