Well another pesky pound I gained is gone. Not the best way (diverticulitis diet) but each day less inflammation. Honestly, I don’t feel bad. I had a run yesterday and that let me know there was tenderness. However, each day the tenderness subsided a little bit more.
Town Hall meeting tonight and then we go for Taco Tuesday so I’ll just have maybe a grilled cheese sandwich or something. I’ll figure it out. I may just bow out of it.
Have a great day, everyone!

Losing 3.2 kg a Week

Okay so vacation and daughter home and not following plan equals weight gain. Today at 200# and getting back in the groove of things. Also, have had a muscle strain in my neck which has kind of limited me some on the exercise front. However, getting back in the groove. I can still ride the bike or something like that. Do leg machines. Oh yeah and also learned (like my mother and brother) diverticulitis can strike me. So not sure what my weight gain WAS because over the weekend I had a 48 hour fast of pretty much jello and yogurt and hot tea trying to heal my stomach. So won't be seeing nuts from me for quite some time. This week trying to keep it easy with continued jello, probiotic yogurt, hot tea with turmeric and maybe some soups or scrambled eggs. Have a great day!

Gaining 0.1 kg a Week
13 May 2019
Last week was exhausting. This first Mother’s Day without my sweet Mama was difficult. I didn’t realize how much it was wearing on me. At the end of the day I just thought, “I made it”.
So now to get back into the swing of things.
I hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day.

As I suspected my weight ticked back up, but today is another pound down! Someone stopped by, today that I haven’t seen since prior to my surgery, and he said “your skinny now!”. I’m not sure I recall a time, in my life, someone said that to me (even when I weighed less); it was really nice!!!!!
Tonight we go to a silent auction and dinner and I can pre-record. Tomorrow I’m walking a 12k with my friend. In the past it was a walk/run that I’ve done, but this will just be walking. Will be hard to not run some, but it will be fun to hang with my bestie.
Remember to be kind to your bodies!

Losing 0.4 kg a Week

Seriously, my Me Time, aka exercise/gym was almost usurped again! However, I did squeak in 10 minutes on the cycle and then some weights. Then I helped at the museum and then I went around with our Public Works and helped do some re-checks on a few meter reads that were off. By the time we were done with that it was time to come home and cook dinner. I had left over filet mignon and spinach. I made a tuna casserole, for DH, with zoodles AND he actually ate it and liked it. So that is a great win. However, it is a struggle with him. Sometimes I feel irritated like he thinks it is my 'job' to make sure he has things that he wants to eat. No it is YOUR job to change your relationship with food so you can eat healthier. I am proud of the positive changes he has made and it has impacted his meds and his blood sugar is where it needs to be. Before bed last night it was in the 110 range. So it is working for him. Just wish he had done this years ago.
I have so much going on and I have got to get things hammered down. I have family coming in June and it is almost May. I need to set some time aside for just finishing some painting projects. I have quite a few pictures that I need to get placed and hung in our stairwell. I have been slowly buying them at antique stores and indoor flea markets for my 1899 Victorian house what would go better than antique frames??? Hahaha...so that is a task. I also did NOT get the website updates last night so I will have to do that this afternoon.
I am opening the museum from 2 - 4 but have to re-dress some mannequins so can't do it then.
Okay so work, grocery shopping for my husband to pick up and then gym, museum, website update, cook dinner....yeah that sounds like a day.
I hope you all have a great day and be kind to yourselves.
