Did you give up coffee on Atkins? I think I'm supposed to, but I'm really hooked on it. A few people have told me that they lost weight and still had their morning coffee everyday. What is your experience?

I'm re-reading Atkins for life and I realized that I'm not being strict enough with myself. I'm still hooked on sweets. I treat myself to Atkins Endulge bars and diet pop often enough to still have cravings.
That said, I'm having a Dorito craving right now. Sounds like it's time for some Parmesan chips! :)

I've heard stories about this happening, and I can't believe that some people can be so stupid, but it happened to me. Today while I was at the mall with my baby in her stroller, I shared an elevator ride with a seemingly harmless little old lady. When she was finished admiring the baby, she asked me how old she is, then looked at me and said "You're pregnant again already???" ... and I politely said "No." And she said "Well... it's just that you haven't lost the weight." I think she realized how rude she had been, because she said "Oh, maybe I shouldn't have said that." At first I was just annoyed, but then for some reason it really hit home and I told her "That makes me feel bad." And again she said "I shouldn't have said that." The elevator doors finally opened and I just looked at her and said "Have a nice day." eeeeeesh! I know what I look like, I don't need strangers telling me. :(
I'm going to start a food diary and enter it at the end of every day.
So, today:

Ok, I'm getting frustrated with myself. I keep falling off the diet. I'm okay M-F, then the weekend rolls around and I find an excuse to cheat!
I'm so tired of carrying this extra weight around. Someone please reassure me that Atkins really works when you stick with it. I need some encouragement.
This weekend I'm really going to stick with it. :)
