Last week's detox did not go well so I'm starting again this week! Hopefully I can lose at least 5 lbs. I had oatmeal for breakfast. I will have a salad for lunch, yogurt & banana for a snack, spinach and egg whites for dinner and fruit for my last snack. I'm also gonna drink tea tonight to help me with my late night cravings. If it's not too cold this evening I'm gonna go for a walk. If I have to stay inside I'm gonna work out with my DVD. Have a great day everyone!

I'm so discourged :( I only lost 1 lb. I know it's because I went to dinner on Friday and Saturday night and had drinks both nights. My boyfriend and I broke up so I went out with a girlfriend so that I could cheer up. I had a salad for dinner, but I had spinach dip for an appetizer and ice cream for dessert. I haven't had ice cream in at least a month, maybe even longer! Well I gave myself this weekend to mope and I'll snap back into shape tomorrow.

I went to Applebee's with a long time friend of mine last night. He just broke up with his girlfriend and needed someone to talk to. I had one drink and ate a quesedilla off the weight watcher's menu. I also had a key lime shooter for dessert. I blew my diet :( but at least the entree was off the weight watcher's menu. My stomach feels sick and I'm sure I'm gonna be up when I weigh in tomorrow. Sigh. I'm gonna walk for an hour today to try and redeem myself somewhat. I find that nights are really hard for me. I do great during the day when I'm busy working, but at night I get hungry and tend to cheat.

Time to vent....
It's so funny how weight can have such a huge impact on our self esteem, outlook on life etc. In the past I've found myself avoiding trips where the beach was involved just to keep from being embarrassed in a bathing suit. I've even avoided my college homecoming events b/c I didn't make it down to the size 6 I was shooting for. But you know what, those days are over! I'm working on my weight but in the meantime I am going to enjoy every moment possible whether I am thick or thin. Life is too short and tomorrow is not promised. I refuse to deprive myself of enjoying life b/c of my dress size. Happiness is not a destination, it is a state of mind! (author unknown)

Today was a productive day. I walked for 35 minutes and ate well. I had oatmeal with sliced bananas and soy milk for breakfast, vegan chili for lunch, apples and peanut butter for a snack and cantaloupe. I planned to eat egg whites for dinner with a little salsa, but I'm not hungry. I plan to work out to my DVD sometime before bed. I put my scale away and I'm not going to get on it until my weigh in on Sunday. I weigh myself at least twice a day and it can be very discouraging, so I'm gonna stay away from it for a few days.
