same weight, the system keeps telling me I'm doing good... for not gaining I suppose. Well, I just joined another gym. My neighbor and I are about the same age and she has been going to Zumba classes, so I am going to go with her twice a week. I go with my husband to his Gold's Gym when he works with his trainer, I go get on the stationary bike. Maybe I should do more than just sit on that bike for an hour?? Oh I am peddling and working a program that is on the bike, but its really pretty easy to do. I am really hoping the Zumba class will stir up some calorie burns and make a difference. I also decided that twice a day (or more if I feel like it). I will do a "plank" and hold it for a minute each time. Then I thought that maybe during a show when the commercials come on I will get up and do some jumping jacks. I am starting today and will report daily on my progress. I am hoping that it might help keep me from eating in the evenings if I am exercising during commercials. I have to MOVE my body more that is for sure.
I was amazed at how many of us women battle with eating in the evenings. I guess that's when our day slows down and we can think about food. I'm going to see if thinking about exercise during commercials at night will work for me.

same weight, but we took a trip out of town and were eating in restaurants, meeting up with family. So I'm not concerned about not losing, I'm rejoicing that I took a short trip, enjoyed myself and did NOT gain anything. Good for me!

Today I weighed and no change.. actually I'm getting to be okay with NO GAIN!! now if I can just figure out how to get to the "lost weight" showing up on my scale, I would feel a lot better. My girlfriend just went and had liposuction and a breast reduction/lift done. She looks great but as for me, surgery of any type is a risk, the most common risk is throwing a blood clot. I am just not willing to risk surgery for the sake of looks. I am determined to lose at least 2 lbs this week. I was pretty good last night. Today is workouts at the gym with hubby. I also found a neighbor that I am going to join in with for Zumba Classes. Hope that helps.

lost a pound, then got it back again. I miss the days when I was a size 8, now I'm a size 16... will I ever get this weight off? I go crazy eating at night! All day Im busy or on the computer, but at night when I'm watching TV with hubby, I just eat constantly.. oh yes, I know there is celery and popcorn without butter, but I don't like those.. I want popcorn WITH butter, I want ice cream, I want cookies, etc.. I know there are other light weight alternatives but I don't like them. I need to find some sort of motivation to keep me for eating at night, its an old habit that is hard to break, but somehow I need to find a way to break that old habit of eating all evening long. Maybe i should come out of retirement and try to get a night job :D

Its slow, but I am 66 yrs old and I have patience. I am not following any "diet" per say. I am just eating healthier and cutting back. I replaced lunch sandwiches with a 1/2 cup of low fat cottage cheese and a piece of fruit (peach's in season now) . Losing slowly but its not a race. I just need to stay mindful of what I eat and I know that there are some occassions where the diet is not a priority but ... I remain mindful of what and how much I consume. I'm beginning to understand.
