Back with another 2 week weigh in. I lost 3 lbs in the two weeks as I'm sure this entry will not reflect that(website journaling issues). Still heading in the correct direction. This works for me!

Yesterday was the one year anniversary of me starting this diet. I started at 271. As of now, I've lost a total of 111 lbs. Although I miss some things, I was too heavy and had to make a choice. I'm ok with my choice. I feel better than I have in years. Walking, stairs, jogging around the yard, housework, yardwork, shopping.... none of them are really an issue for me anymore and it feels great.

My closet is almost completely empty. I had to toss all my bras and underwear and start over. At this point I'm wearing my old drawstring shorts, because I can make them any size I need to, and a handful of tshirts I've picked up at Sam's and Walmart. I was never a big shopper, so replacing all the clothing (oh God, I'm gonna need a new winter coat) will not be any fun, but it does feel good not to have to shop in the big ladies or men's sections anymore (barely....but still...).

Holiday weekend coming up soon. I hope everyone has tons of fun. I'll talk to y'all more when winter makes me bored sh*tless again. I do, after all, still have 40 lbs to go. Thank to all here at fatsecret for all the help and companionship along the way. It's much appreciated.

My two-week weigh-in date should have been on Monday, but I spent all day on Sunday in the yard, sweating my behind off doing a ton of yard work. I trimmed some tree limbs, ran the weedeater, pulled weeds (by hand) from the fence line. I worked out in the 92+ degree (F.... that's 33+ degrees in non-freedom units) heat. Then, on the Monday morning weigh-in, my weight dropped kind of significantly, so I figured it was mostly water that I had lost. Two days later, here we are, and I'm still hanging onto my low (ish.. for me anyway...) weight. So I thought I would put it up now.

I'm 11 days out from my first year of being on this diet. I guess I'm convinced. The secret to losing weight:

1. Eat less
2. Move more
3. Meticulously track your food. If it goes in your mouth, it goes on the list.
4. Be Patient!

They never tell you that last one. You're not going to lose 100 lbs in 3 days. It's going to take a while. So be patient and find a diet you can live on and stick with for a while.

Anyway... happy summer everyone! For the first time in 10 years, I don't think I have any (like ANY y'all..) doctor's appointments in August. Is that possible? Surely I've missed something...
