WOOHOO! Got my 10lb ribbon today! That felt AWESOME. I'm nearly at half of my 10% goal for the 14 weeks and I'm only at week 5. I'm actually gonna do this!

Just changed my goal to 199 so I don't look like a fool with an unattainable goal. When I hit 199 I'm going to go buy a new wardrobe. Then I'll reset my goal again to my perfect healthy weight (which is around 140ish).
Did an unofficial weigh in this morning and am down to 307. That's another 4 lbs. We'll see if it was just a fluke or a scale glitch.
I've started tracking my measurements too, along with my body fat, body fat %, and BMI. I'm going to make an appointment with my doctor to see if we can do a RMR (resting metabolic rate) test. Since I have
hypothyroidism
, I can't go by what the online calculators tell me for this value, which sucks because it's hard to really tell how many calories I should be eating with that problem.
It's all math and science. Man, do I wish I'd paid closer attention in highschool.
Anyone out there know anything about hypothyroidism, specifically how to test levels, and if it's possible to do so without having to make a doctors appt to do it every time?
