Despite my best intentions, I somehow gained 10lbs in one month! Do humans instinctually pack on the food in the autumn/winter? I feel like I'm gearing up to go months without food in hibernation.
Time to stop all that and get back on track, tracking food, exercise and everything else.
My mantra: don't give up, don't give up, don't give up.

It's been 4 years since I started this thing... initially, I lost 30 lbs, then I gained 10 back and have been yo-yoing up down 5-15 lbs since then. A tendon injury in my knee and then a calf injury a year later certainly contributed to this. And the holidays certainly didn't help either.
It's ok to berate and then forgive yourself. But then move forward. Don't stay stuck. If there is one thing weight loss AND quitting smoking over the past 4 years has taught me . . . DON'T give up. Fail. Fail. And Fail again, but don't you DARE give up on yourself.
I don't want to look back at life looking at all my let downs, quits and failures. I want to see a person who lived life to the fullest and tried hard and was OK with always being a work in progress. The key is to also be content with the progress made thus far.
