I've been away for ever and ever. But I'm going to get back on the band wagon. Maybe I'll start a new challenge.

Made it through Xmas somehow without gaining any weight. A real Christmas miracle! 8) Anyway, the last five pounds will no doubt be very difficult. For the new year, I hope to surf (Pacific Northwest surfing -- brrrrrrr!!) and that will help me get some exercise!! I need a new challenge as I was addicted to the old one and the community that supported me and that I got to support.

Reading the struggles of others makes it easier. They're going through what I'm going through so I don't feel so alone or like the "fat loser" that I usually do. In retrospect, I think I had a bad case of body dismorphia when I was growing up and as a teen. I was very thin in my twenties, but I really believed I was fat. I think that has spilled over in my adult life. I'm pretty stoked to be pushing through this mental wall.
