So last night I had to get ready for a trip I am taking this weekend to Roanoke. This required me to do some laundry which was not drying very fast. By the time I was mostly packed and ready to go - it was 4 am - leaving me about 2.5 hours to sleep.

My problem on nights like this (other than the not sleeping) is that the only way to keep my energy up in order to stay awake is to eat. So I ate a box of Mac and Cheese. It was Kraft's new 50% whole grain mac and cheese (kinda confused if the whole grain was in the noodle or the chese or maybe both). Of course in order to stay awake today I am feeding myself again. I had a really big breakfast and even indulged in a choco. chip muffin (which was delicious) but now it is lunch and I am still full. But do I get something to eat even though I am not full - or do I risk falling asleep at my desk and not eat anything (but maybe just drink water). Anyways - that is today's connundrum. Hopefully I will just sleep on the drive down to where I am going.

Well - my effort to be a Wii Warrior last week fizzled when I came down with another virus. The previous week I didn't know that I had a virus when I got my flu shot - so I'm sure that was the problem. Anyways - so I was fighting a bug again. It doesn't help that I've kinda let all my housework go. Yesterday I finally got to cleaning some of it up. My mom was all, "You'll feel like you are in control - it'll make you happy." Well, it made me more sneezy more than anything else - and honestly made me sad that I let things get to that place. But I guess I am doing something and that is what counts.

I did last week end up walking to the far far bus stop. By far far I mean the further bus line from me. I have one bus line that runs right outside my house. Very convenient. But there was a day this week that I just missed that bus, so in order to get to work on time I had to hike it to the bus stop for the other bus line. That bus stop is a mile away. But I hiked it. And then the next day I got outside and got bored waiting for my regular bus and started hiking it again. This morning I thought about going for it again - but it was like 6:30 am and totally dark and the early bus on my regular drove up just as I was leaving. Anyways - so I did get a couple of mile walks in last week. I won't really be able to do that when the weather gets really wintery because I have a feeling the snow and ice could kill me. So I might just try to enjoy doing that while I can.

At work, we started a biggest loser club in May - which I totally joined knowing that I was hopefully going to be losing weight anyways. The club went really well for about quarter, but things just fell apart about halfway to the finish line. Anyways - we are resurrecting the club again - and in the invitation to the first meeting I found out that for that quarter when we were really good - I was the biggest loser. That made me one of the happiest people - really. Especially since I have plateaued for the last couple of months. Anyways - I am going to use this as the inspiration to keep on going, because you know that I have to hold onto that title. hehe. So in my efforts to kick start things again - I am going to challenge myself to do We Cheer for at least 30 minutes 4 times a week. That game is serious aerobic activity. Today I have done 45 minutes.
