Greetings to all.
Today is my Birthday. Very excited I received my prosthetic leg at 2:00pm. Started the morning off with a cup of oatmeal topped with one green apple and 8oz of milk. After my appointment today I had a cup of lettuce, a cup of tomatoes, a cup of cucumbers and a boneless chicken breast sandwich 1 tablespoon of olive oil and vinegar dressing. After much practice with my new found leg I had dinner. One hamburger with cheese, 1/2 cup of cucumbers, 1 Roma tomato, cup of collard greens, 1/2 cup of baby red potatoes and 3 tablespoons of egg-whites and a slice of cheese. My Birthday was great!!!

Hello Everyone!
Today is a monumental day for me. I found out that I lost enough weight to be able to fit into my prosthetic harness and one week from today I'll have another leg to stand on. Five months not being able to walk and hardly get around took its toll on me. But I kept the faith for the one that put us on this earth in the first place.
DON'T GIVE UP. DON'T YOU QUIT. YOU KEEP WALKING. YOU KEEP TRYING. THERE IS HELP AND HAPPINESS AHEAD. JUST KEEP YOUR CHIN UP. IT WILL BE ALRIGHT IN THE END. BELIEVE AND
TRUST. GOOD THINGS WILL COME WHEN EVERY THING SEEMS HOPELESS.

Had not weighed myself since joining. Working on foods that I need to cut down on. To my surprise I lost 6 pounds. I guess I'm on the right track. My sodium and cholesterol intake have been too high and I was eating late at night. I've committed myself to a low sodium and low cholesterol diet and less boxed items and meals for one month starting tomorrow.

Hello everyone
As you can tell Popeye the Sailor is my favorite character. He's the pillar of my strength. Since joining August 17th these last ten days let me see what exactly I'm eating and what I need to change to put me on the road to a healthy life style. So here's to a long prosperous and healthy life.
