NSV: My Mom roasted a bunch of caulflower and a little bit of potatoes last night. Curious about how a potato tastes now (it's been ~3 months) I had a tiny little bite of one.

They taste like nothing. Like, bland white nothing. Took a bite of the cauliflower and immediately could taste FLAVOR AND SUBSTANCE. Like, this is how food should taste.

Which makes me wonder what other people see in similar things like rice and bread, which I feel have to same flavor profile as a potato. Tastes like you're eating nothing. Nothing more than a thought though, I'm not judging anyone.

I am no longer worried if I'm ever going to crave those foods again. I won't. Why go back to something so flavorless when I have all of these other choices around me?
