For 30 days I was on Niacinimide. Called the doc for a refill and was given Niacin, but I didn't realize it had happened or that there was any difference. I heard you could get "a little flushing" when taking Niacin. HOLY MOLEY! I turned bright red from top to toe and my entire body WAS ON FIRE! Lasted an hour and a half. To add insult to injury, we're having a heat wave. Totally killed any chance of consummating our newly empty nest.
So that happened this past week, too. My only child and his girlfriend have moved into their own apartment. I was SO ready for him to fly, I really didn't expect the sadness. I compared it to my second carpal tunnel surgery. I had forgotten how much it hurt before I got to the other side of feeling great. I am excited and happy for him. I know there are wonderful things coming. I just gotta get through to the other side. I'm mostly there, though.
Now if I could just get this health stuff wrapped up! Sheesh! The good news is I don't have to take the niacin because we brought my triglycerides into normal range. HDL is still low and now my cholesterol is high, which has never happened and I'm not sure why given the dietary changes. Anion Gap and TP came back low and C-Reac is still high. Don't know what any of it means until I talk with him next week.
Gotta head to the basement. That elliptical is waiting for me. (blech!)
