Keto is a high fat low carb diet. I try to keep my carbs intake to less than 20g. This means things like bread, pasta rice etc are a no go. Your body changes from burning glucose (sugar) to burning fat for fuel. This when you are in a state of Ketosis. The change takes a different amount of time from person to person and can be from painless to flu type symptoms. Once there though the results for me personally were amazing. I shifted weight and body fat I’ve never been able to lose before. If you add in intermittent fasting in there too (not eating for 16 hours a day, for example) it helped the process for me. I am still learning about it myself but I believe all the above information correct. There is a wealth of information and recipes online and podcasts are a great learning tool too. Hope this helps.

thx so much for explaining that what type of things can I eat for breakfast I Normally have a slimfast shake as I find it difficult to eat anything before 1pm, I am also a really picky eater so I find it almost impossible to follow diets, but if this is just a case of leaving certain things out I may do ok.

Keto is a very low-carb, medium-protein, high-fat diet. The way it works is by limiting the short-term fuel that your body uses, the carbs, and nudging it towards using your long-term energy which is your body fat and the fat you're consuming.
So basically you eat a lot of bacon, lots and lots of butter, ghee, coconut oil, and a healthy amount of meats and proteins in general. What you cannot eat is pasta, bread, grains, sugar, fruits and the like. There are a few variations to the diet; some say you can eat fat freely as long as you stay away from grains, others that you still have to somewhat restrict your calories but the general idea is that you're teaching your body to burn fat instead of carbs. This also increases your ketone levels, ketones being a superfood for your brain, so there's some speculation that it can help towards preventing Alzheimer's and boost general brain health. If you really restrict your carb intake you can really lose plenty of weight. Even though the first week you lose a lot of weight because it's water weight, it's been known to help you drop quickly while still feeling like you've eaten plenty. When my mom tried keto she dropped four kilos the first week and after that about a kilo and a half the following weeks. There's a ton of information online and some really great YouTube videos explaining the whole process and lots and lots of delicious recipes. I definitely recommend it if you're willing to give it a shot and try something new. Just remember that the first three days you may feel the "keto flu" but I promise promise promise you'll feel better afterwards :)
Good luck!

Just sack breakfast off if it’s a struggle. It’ll make a 16 hour fast way easier 🙂
