Makes me annoyed when I have been low and either keep same or only scrape a pound loss over a full week . But its a long term thing this weight loss so stick at it .

I am having exactly the same at the moment and getting very cheesed off ! Think I will have to drop calorie intake further than I have been doing. !!!! Thought I was in for a good weigh in this week, and only lost 2oz !!!!!!!

You need to eat the recommended calorie intake, if you don’t then your body goes into starvation mode and you don’t lose weight because it holds onto what you have eaten 💞 xx

I did as well this week, tough isn’t it! I normally calorie count all week and have Saturday off but went up for no good reason...maybe it was a slice of cake Saturday bahhhh never mind, hopefully a loss for us both next week 👍🏼

Have a random day, where you shock your metabolism by eating more than usual. You will start to burn more and store less, then back to normal for a few days and repeat. Keep the days random though, it works for me :)

This is happening to me every other day, .3 on, .5off.... Now I'm just starting week 6 and going to stop worrying about it and concentrate on my weekly loss.

Lubby_lou85..... When I started this diet 6 weeks ago I don't know if I put something in wrong but it said my calorie intake should be 2200 a day.... Surely not so I've been sticking to an average of 1250, do you think this is why I'm not loosing?

Jill1964 when I tried to lose my annual Christmas weight last year I stuck to 1200 calories and lost nothing...starvation mode...so I upped to 14-1500 a day and I lost a stone in 2 months 👍🏼 It’s an odd thing this calorie counting but maybe up it to 1500 a day and see what happens 👍🏼

Honest guy girls it didn't work like that stop watching the scale. Every body and I mean everybody as a completely different amount of cals to eat a day and you have to be in a deficit to Lose wait it's that simple. Work your macros out and go from there.

I'm trying to stick to 1600 a day and for the first few weeks lost a pound but now it seems to be going the other way. feeling fed up and I'm off to France soon - the land of cheese, bread and wine. there's no hope !!!

CarlHawe I would love to stop the scales, I’m totally unaware of macros...how and what do you work out? Any advice appreciated 👍🏼

It's all about balance. There is no magic number of calories as a target. If you go too low or drink too little your body will go into famine mode and try to hang on to every last ounce it can. Also remember that if you are doing any kind of fitness work you can become leaner yet put weight on. Muscle is denser than fat and therefore you can lose inches and gain weight.
