What a pain. I have no idea how I am going to lose weight. The food here is getting worse. Not that it has been great since our new cook got here. There was nothing on the menu today that I like or that my diabeties likes. Dinner choice tonight was spaghetti or something that sorta looked like a wilted salad with a scoop of something on top. It may have been egg salad but I wouldn't bet on it. So, here I am eating saltines and peanut butter. 0n the days that they have something I like there is never enough. As an adult I would like 3oz of protein per meal, and I don't want it smothered in gravy (which they always seem to do). As a dietetic I don't want more than 60 carbs and even that, I feel, is too high. Then later I'm starved. Then the little brat that lives inside me throws a temper tantrum until I feed her. Now, do you think she wants to prepare a meal. No ooh! That little brat wants a cookie, candy, cake, ice cream or muffin. The one thing we are served each day is muffins. I need to make some plans for getting enough nourishment. They always serve fruit at breakfast. Three or four grapes and 3 pieces of Melon about 3/4" each. This comes with scrambled egg. Egg not eggS. A muffin and either a small slice of ham (1/2 Oz) or two small slices of bacon.
