This is almost the end of January and the doctors still have no answers on why abdomen continues to fill with fluid. I had the majority of it removed again yesterday and it equaled out 3 liters. With an unknown amount still left. They set me up with an exploratory endoscopic procedure for the 17th of February. The catch is that I not allowed to have fluid drained again before that unless it is an emergency. But, it is to the point where I am not eating without feeling sick and being drained every other week, hence the reason for weight loss.

Did they check your liver? My husband has acites too and his nephrologist told him to go to a gastroenterologist. But I was reading that they may refer onto a hepatologist. If there's a problem with the liver they can often fix it surgically. But if it's something like that it should be fixed asap. Delaying treatment is life threatening. My husband hasn't gone in yet, but I wish he would. I hope they figure it out for you soon. It's frustrating when you don't know what's going on.

Thank you for asking they did check my liver and thankfully it's fine. I did take a 3 mile walk today. It has been the second time since getting sick, but this walk felt amazing.
