I didn’t sleep great last night. My knee is a little sore and the discomfort bothered me throughout the night. I hurt my knee last summer. I was at a friends house and we were playing water volleyball. It was the mom that lived there and me against our two college age boys. The ball was coming to me but just out of reach. I had to step and lean to get it. When I did, I felt my knee pop, but I got the ball over the net for the winning point. Ha! Now every time my knee hurts I get to remember the look of surprise and respect on my son’s face. To be clear, the moms got the shallow end of the pool and the boys held a beer in one hand for the whole game but a win is a win.

I love telling this story because honestly, I pulled a hamstring once emptying the dishwasher. That’s just embarrassing.
