I couldn't believe I actually saw a smaller number on the scale today! Not that I expected to be failing, but wow I didn't think I'd lose anymore than like 1 pound! I'm pretty new to this whole diet thing, so I'm glad to see that I can now control better what I eat and how it affects me when I'm trying to lose weight. Wow I feel so good! Amazinnnnnn stuffffff!

I don't feel like I'm truly on a diet so far, I'm WAY more aware of what I'm eating though. I measure everything and I just keep conscious of what I'm doing. One major change I have made was to pretty much eliminate liquid calories except for milk and an occasional soda once a week or so, strangely it's not too hard.. I seem to be craving water lately. It feels so happy to say I'm 3.5 pounds closer to my goal :]

Exercising isn't so bad either, I actually like it. I briskly walk about 2 miles a day and do weight training basically. Main annoyance is the burn in my legs when I first start moving.. it huuurts, but after I get through the first 20 minutes or so they loosen up. My right calf was particularly angry yesterday.. but it loosened up. The hills in my neighborhood are spectacular for walking, most of it is uphill! The only thing I wanna know right now is how do I weight train my legs? I only have a pair of hand weights that are about 6 pounds each.. Anyone know how to get leg muscles? lol

Do walking lunges for your legs. You can use the weights or not. To start them you really don't need any weight. I would do 10-20 in one day, then see how you feel the next day. It is REALLY easy to do too many and then not be able to walk for two days. Your legs shouldn't really hurt from walking. Are you stretching at all? It's really imporant! Congrats on your weight loss. Now make sure you break out the tape measure so you can also brag about inches lost! :)

Thanks for the comments! I didn't know I had comments, lol still learning the site :O My legs don't hurt really from walking, but they hurt pretty bad last Thursday when I did those squats lol. I could walk, but in a funny way haha. The weight isn't too heavy it seems, I think I'll just do less of those, maybe like 15. Was listening to my dad who used to bodybuild and tried to do 30 as he told me =/ bah, I'm no bodybuilder.. lol
