I'm really struggling right now to lose weight, I get tempted and give into it basically every day.
There's takeaways everywhere and it's hard not to give into temptation.

Even if I'm at home and I have a half-healthy day I'll just give in at the last minute and overeat, I've lost control :(

I'm hoping to have a better result in the coming weeks but my willpower has been getting tested a lot and so far I've not been mentally strong enough.

I'm not in a good place right now, I'm not organised, some days just slip past me, I think a lot about family problems, and I don't study as much as I want to.
I keep telling myself that tomorrow I'll be better but it feels like my tomorrow never comes :(

Is there anyone you can talk to about the problems? Instead of just thinking and overthinking and feeling overwhelmed? Are you in charge of your own meals? Maybe plan the day (or week) ahead. My downfall is getting sweet cravings as soon as I finish dinner. Someone here suggested chocolate ricecakes, they have helped. Or go to bed early! As long as you sleep and not worry! I think if you can manage the worry everything else will fall into place. Maybe get to see your doctor to start with if you don’t have any pastoral care available.

ah Alta...im sorry ur having a hard time at uni away from ur family ❤ it's a big adjustment but you can do this! Write out a daily planner, get the priorities sorted, what essays or assessments are first and put them in order. Be strict with the sleep routine, it's amazing how much better the world looks when uv had a good sleep and how much u can get done if ur up early..download Insight Timer app, meditate in the morning to get ur head in the game and there's nice relaxing music and tools for when ur stressed. Family are always going to b family, can't sell them on eBay!! When uv done all this and ur feeling better..thats when the diet stuff will be easy peasy. Don't b so hard on urself and we are always here for u ❤

Hi trytry, thank you for the suggestion, I was previously going to email my school asking for some sort of emotional support or counsellor or something but I assume it's online and that just makes it feel like I wouldn't like it too much. I would really like of I could sit down in person with someone but I understand because of the current circumstances that it's hard to do that, but I guess I will email anyway. Yes, I'm in charge of my own meals, I decide whatever I want to eat but I sort of wish I didn't since it's hard to exercise control. Thanks for trying to help :)

Hi Bootylicious, thanks for the help, I've been trying to follow a timetable for a while now but it's been hard to do so. I'll take your suggestion and try to make a to do list for tomorrow. I feel like if I can just make myself busy enough then I'll forget all about overeating but it's just been hard to make myself busy since I always feel overwhelmed and that makes it hard to just start trying to get anything done.

Hi Bootylicious, I'm feeling alright right now, no I haven't set up my list yet. I've had a small breakfast today and I'm going to try to make it my first day in a while where I don't overeat. I'll try the app, I just have classes today which I'll be doing soon so after that I'll give it a shot. Thank you for the hug and support ☺️

Bootylicious, thank you again ☺️ it was a very nice day. I didn't overeat today and I got some of my chores done, I don't have as much classes tomorrow so I will try to focus more on my to do list. Thanks again 😁❤️❤️

Yeees Alta...well done! And now we build on this...baby steps...its more about being in a routine and organised than anything else..and ur getting there, go you!👏💪 As my old mum would say " how do you eat an elephant...bite size chunks" Little by little we will get there!

Hi Bootylicious, thank you so much, it means a lot to me 😁 I got a bit more organised yesterday and I'm planning to do a lot today. I did my washing yesterday and when my classes finish today I'm gonna do my dishes and then organise my apartment a bit more as well. Thanks a lot for your support and encouragement, I've been feeling quite lonely and discouraged so I really appreciate what you've done for me ☺️☺️

whats been helping me is not seeing it as your restricting yourself because it makes you want it more! try and make better choice with meals / snacks but if you really really crave something, have it. just a bit though, be mindful with it and not over indulge. but I truly find that works better its just being kind to yourself and not punishing yourself.. just be mindful :) treat yourself as you would a family member, be kind to yourself let me know if this helped xx

Lovely to read all the comments. Sometimes I don’t wash up for four days and sometimes I do it straightaway. It always feels lovely when its done!!
