It's been 6 days since I injured myself on snatchgrip deadlifts. Heard and felt the scary pop sound as I was pulling up. Dropped the weight and prayed it would get better. Ended up in the ER with good signs that it wasn't spinal related and more likely a muscle strain. A good 6 days to reflect and align with my goals. Remove the vanity and ego. Bring back the functionality and longevity. Reduced kcal removing mass gainer intake. Kept my protein and healthy fats up. Kept myself in a good headspace. Now I'm feeling about 90%. And decided to slowly reintroduce the gym with stretches and reduced weight. Kcal will be going back up. Listen to your bodies in the gym friends. Rest is important.
