Oh I see!!! Sounds like a great strategy! ;p Thanks for sharing!!! I'm supposed to stick to 1400 but I try keep it lower, .5kg loss a week is too slow (based on 1400 calories a day).

Bond a 0.5kg loss per week is not slow at all :) You must understand that IamTans's huge drop is mostly water weight after recording a post holiday season weight. Most people will see a big drop in their 1st week or so or starting their weight loss journey after a period of not focusing on any weight loss.

@Big Boy - that makes sense! So do you think I should stick to 1400 calories a day? I'm new to calorie counting - would appreciate your advice! Thanks! :)

Bond...its not always about the amount of calories you are consuming but also what you eat. Certain foods are very inflammatory for certain people and cause quick weight gain. Unfortunately links don't work here but google Sam Feltham Why i didn't get fat from eating 5000 calories a day or else if you are clever and can copy and paste....here it is live.smashthefat.com/why-i-didnt-get-fat/

Bond as LCFF has stated, its about the food that gives u the calories thats important and also the amounts of protein, carbs, fat, fibre(your macros) within those calories overall. I follow a fasting lifestyle to achieve my weight/fat loss. Some people follow a Low Carb lifestyle, etc. Stick to your RDI or below it and choose whole foods. Experiment a bit to see which method is sustainable for u.
