I really don't like my scale!!!!!!...... I just can't seem to get past this 200 mark. I have a goal of 196 for the end of January. And I am so determined to make it.

2008 is my year to achieve goals. I don't make resolutions and I usually don't make goals. But this year I have sat down and wrote mine out, my husband and I sat down and wrote down our goals to get out of debt and get on a buget. So not only am I going to be slim in 2008 so is my budget.

I have been reading a book by Dave Ramsey called The Total Money Makeover. If anyone out there is wanting to seriously get out of debt READ THIS BOOK!!!! Go to the library and borrow it if you can't buy it. Just read it. It is a very quick read, it feels like you are having a conversation with him instead of reading a finance book and it gives you steps to achieve your goals. I am so tired of being overweight and completly in debt.

I'll keep you guys updated on our progress. Now if I can only get my husband to be serious about losing weight........
90.7 kg Lost so far: 1.8 kg.    Still to go: 9.1 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
Losing 0.2 kg a Week

Scales are of the Devil!!! And like the Devil, they give false results. (tease). Yea I'm a big D. Ramsey's fan. I'm presently doing the Baby Steps. Pretty cool.

My dad is a banker and so I grew up in a house that was below the poverty level (believe it or not, bankers don't make very much money) so we always had to be soooo frugal and I learned the value of money and budgeting at a VERY young age. Before we could go shopping for school clothes, we had to submit a list of what we needed and how much each would cost. My dad would go over the list with us and after discussing it with us would decide how much of it we really needed and the price we could get each one for. When I really came to understand interest in my early teens I realized that that was how we got the meager income we had - from other people borrowing money. I determined then and there that I wanted all of my money to go towards feeding & clothing my own kids, and not some bankers' kids. We, of course, took out a loan to buy our house, but other than that we avoid debt like the plague and squirrel away as much money every month that we can. As a teen I also learned the other side of interest, which is that the bank will pay me money that I can use to feed and clothe my kids, if I leave it in there and not spend it all! It is so worth it to be debt-free and in control of your financial health - best of luck to you in both your healthy endeavors!
