Confession I broke down and ate an ice cream sandwich. Still stayed under my calorie allowance but my blood glucose will be off the charts. I am far from perfect but can't afford to do this very often.

I'm just at the beginning of a type 2 diagnosis with an A1C of 8. Like you, I feel like the carbs in the diabetes diet are too high, but trying to eat the same amount at every meal is the really hard part for me. Getting that BG level steady is HARD, I feel ya.

easily enough fixed. I broke my diet the other day for a reset and after a long time of dieting I think it is a good thing. don't beat yourself up about it. You may find things move along better from the break. Just follow your macros closely and don't go too low on calories.

BG was bad but not as bad as I expected, hit 146 but now down to 89 that made me feel a little better. No more ice cream sandwiches for me. Back on the horse!

God Bless you and give you the strength and stamina to endure the battle for good health!
