Well, first off I just want to say thank you to everyone who commented on my first journal entry. Everyone on this site is so nice! It was nice to start off my diet with a success story and have so many people encourage me :-)

Today wasn't as good, but overall I'd say I did OK. I ate more calories than I burned, but I did play some slow pitch softball on the company team. That at least kept me out of the house and away from the food. I really can't play softball at all (they always put me in right field . . . not that I'm complaining) but it's fun to get out anyway.

I'm trying not to snack at night - that's the thing that really gets me. So how convenient that this site is here as soon as I get home. I think the biggest thing is just keeping myself busy with active things. Also, I've noticed that watching late night TV makes me want to snack, so I am going to bed earlier so that I can keep that from happening :-)

Well, I think I'm going to browse around on the site. Happy losing, everyone!

I agree! haha, I've noticed that cleaning keeps me busy and away from food. so instead of making myself pasta or soup, instead, I can wash the dishes. and because I clean and don't give in to food, I'm left feeling satisfied, not guilty. cool but weird strategy, I know lol
