Well today was my first day Eating the South beach way.
I did really well! I am still in the game but I prepared everything for dinner ahead of time and will go to bed early to fight any late night cravings I have . :)

I am wondering if we can have full fat cottage cheese but cut the portion back? I despise low fat cottage cheese, but love the regular stuff.

Anyhoo, I am VERY motivated. I got my gym bag all packed for tomorrow and my lunch, breakfast and snacks all prepared and packed up, so I have no reason to falter.

here is to week 1! Cheers :)

Good for you to make the healthy choice! The most important thing to remember is to not think of this as a being on a diet, but a change of your diet. Some things that you've enjoyed need to be in the past. But, as we have all learned, you'll get used to and enjoy the new foods that are much better for you. They say it takes 21 days to form a new habit. Just stick with it. Treat each opportunity to eat as a choice. Choose wisely. The first 3-4 days will be tough, then you get the hang of it. I'd stay away from full fat anything. Here's a tip, if you use the low fat cottage cheese, mix in a bit of sugar free Jello in a flavor that you like (my wife likes Orange, I like Raspberry). It doesn't take much. You can spread a box over several servings. Getting through Phase 1 can be tough, but dedicate yourself to it, and you'll be fine. Phase 2 is much easier, but you need to "purge" yourself first, so Phase 1 is important. You should see at least 5% of your weight drop in the first two weeks if you follow it 100%. Also, drink lots of water. Whenever I feel hungry, I drink another glass of water. It works. All of us wish you nothing but the best!

Good for you in no time youll be losing the weight and feeling great. Good idea on prepacking your food. It will def. help not having to rushin the morning, I know I am not a morning person and have to do it on the days I work early. GOOD LUCK
